Refer to the section on “Specific Sources of Power” in Chapter 3 of your textbook. Select and DEFINE at least two (2) sources of power as described in that section, and in 1-2 pages:
Provide a detailed example of each as relates to that power in a conflictual situation. Your example may be from your personal experience, or it could be from a movie, book or television show, an experience relayed to you by someone you know, or one from your own imagination.
Share your impressions of each example, including the behavior and the amount of power held by each party.
Knowing what you now know about power in conflict, explain how this dispute might have been better handled or resolved. You may discuss the behavior of the parties themselves, the addition of or change to the method they used to resolve their dispute, or any other way you feel they could have better addressed the conflict.

The significant sources of information, power, and formal authority play a central role in shaping the dynamics of conflict and conflict resolution strategies. Exploring these channels and their influences provides avenues for developing successful resolutions.
Information Power and Its Role in Power Dynamics
Information power is derived from an individual who has access to essential data, knowledge, or insights, and the resources that dominate over any particular audience; hence, information power is of great significance in conflict situations where one may discover or conceal relevant information in order to find a solution or prevent a solution from coming over (Mayer, 2012).
The movie "The Social Network" depicts Mark Zuckerberg as the holder and regulator of information, providing him access to personal information collected by invading the data privacy of Facebook users. Zuckerberg had the technical expertise that allowed him to use data to help the social media platform prosper and reach millions of users, including individuals and companies that use the platform for endorsement (Fincher, 2010).
This combination of technical expertise and forward-thinking vision endowed Zuckerberg with a formidable information power. His expertise and technological advancements are the basis of his informational strength, enabling him to invade their user's digital world entirely, leading to data privacy problems. In an environment saturated by social media, where flexibility and tactical adjustments are impossible to ignore, the ability to handle information and come to terms with it might form the line between winning battles and losing everything.
