Does urbanization have desirable or undesirable consequences?
Urbanization leads to the growth of various metropolis, gathers professionals with various skills and enlarges businesses. Upcoming industries choose the established and upcoming centers as regions to focus on for their products and services (Kate, 2005: Tran, 2013). The consequences of urban influx are both desirable and undesirable. The desirable ones include accelerated growth due to the concentration of skills and accessibility to other resources needed for improvement. Generation of more revenues of a country happens most in the urban centers and towns.
The undesirable consequences include the cropping up of slums, strain on available resources, increase in crime, and a woeful response to land use.
