The two terms, discrimination and harassment, are usually used together since; they apply nearly in the same situations. Starting with, discrimination refers to an unjust or prejudicial treatment of an individual or a group of individuals, usually based on factors such as sex, gender, and age. The most common form of discrimination includes gender discrimination where a certain gender is seen as being superior over the other. In most traditional societies, male gender was seen as more important people in the society, while the female gender was being looked down upon. The act of looking down upon some people or a group of people best explains the meaning of discrimination.
