In the first chapter of Free to Choose (the name of this chapter is The Power of the Market), Rose D. Friedman can be found saying that most people have not understood the actual strength of the market. Every day, we use a significant number of goods and products, and we never try to know how many people have struggled to bring those items to us. We mostly take day-to-day things for granted and need to be fully aware of the efforts of the people who have manufactured them, marketed or distributed them. This is the only way to value their hard work and dedication.
