Introduction
Critical thinking can be described as the ability to think positively, clearly, and rationally. Technically, it is a developed concept that helps people connect different ideas in a logical perspective. Critical thinking is a discipline applied in different dimensions is life, for instance, evaluating and systematically solving problems. This concept relies on several factors that help build substantive sentiments, for example, observation and reflection. These principles are vital in the critical thinking process.
Moreover, it uses intellectual values that reflect clarity in one’s beliefs. Critical thinking analogy comprises two entities: information and belief, a skill used to develop and shape a particular behavior in an individual. Secondly, it is built under the concept of possession, which is a continuation of belief and moral thinking (Ennis, 2011).
Notably, the authenticity of a critical thinker is embedded in moral values and motivational factors behind it. In this case, if a critical thinker has a selfish concept, the idea of critical thinking is controlled by manipulation and deceit. Most importantly, it is (critical thinking) not universal, meaning irrational thoughts characterize it. Every person has their way of evaluating and building their critical thinking skills; however, it is worth noting that they are accompanied by indiscipline. No person can be a critical thinker entirely, but to some degree, they can showcase their rational thoughts in the form of critical thinking (Sternberg & Halpern, 2007).
