Queens, New York, has a population that is in excess of two million persons. This is a largest of the five borough in New York population (Nyc.gov, 2016). When considering the size and the population considering of Queens and the fact that it is part of New York which has some significant infrastructure, it is quite a vulnerable borough (Klovens, 2015). It is crucial to establish the risk element of such a large area and one that is quite significant. Threat assessment plays a vital role in risk management (Nyc.gov, 2016).
There are quite a number critical infrastructure that can be targeted by terrorists which includes, the transportation system (Web.mta.info, 2016). This is a subway that also connects with some of the major parts of New York, making it a prime target (Nyc.gov, 2016). Compromising the system could put millions of people in danger along with billions of dollars in property. This is especially the case considering the issue of overcrowding in the subways (Davies, 2016).
