Introduction
Probation is a court order granted by the presiding judge, and it allows the offender to operate within the vicinity of an officer. The judgment is usually arrived at after a thorough scrutiny of the offender, and after being found guilty of committing an offense. This paper will seek to analyze probation purpose and ways of administering it.
The purpose of probation is to engage the offender in an aggressive program available from the department of probation and community rehabilitation centers (Allen, et al 2006). The program is mainly aimed at rehabilitating the law breaker and correcting such unlawful behaviors in future.
Probation department uses a variety of rehabilitation methods to discourage the wrongdoer from engaging in unlawful activities. Among the major vices that probation seeks to correct includes, substance abuse among other petty crimes. Residential or outpatient treatment helps the wrongdoer to sob...
