In this scenario, I believe that the program’s intention to provide shelter and comfort through food and security is the best way to rehabilitate the type of clients they deal with. Homeless people need a strong mental and emotional foundation because they have a stressful and lonely lifestyle. They usually live isolated, and away from other people who can help them. As such, these clients indeed need healing more than coaching, because they are trying to break habits and activities that no longer serve them. Counseling is more recommended in the sense that these people do not have a self-concept and self-esteem to live integrated in the society.
