According to Hayes (2010), change is important in an organization but it attracts mixed reactions from the workers and other stakeholders in an organization. The implementation of the New Human Resource Information System (HRIS) will facilitate reduction in work force in the organization and hence it is likely to attract a negative reaction from the workers. To enable the workers to accept the new system, unusual ways will be employed to allow the workers to buy in the system while mitigating morale issues.
One of the ways will include the formation of a change team (Corelli, 2009, p. 1). The change team will be comprised on the members of the management team and the workers union. The change team will communicate to the workers ion the importance of implementing change in the organization and hence the need for the new system.
