My profession is army human resources; in this respect, the narrations are significant in ensuring that my roles and responsibilities in the military are attained. There are several stories that relate with narrative because narrations can be used to turn stories into reality. My role involves maintaining the emergency notification data; the narrative skills are necessary in ensuring that the captured data corresponds to the actualities that happen on the battlefield.
Military ideologies are narrative-based; therefore, I employ the use of narratives to communicate to my juniors and seniors. A narrative in leadership position involves telling a story to an audience in a particular situation to achieve a particular goal. As a holder of the human resource position, narratives are required to ensure the management is ready to take responsibilities for health and the welfare of all the soldiers by making sure that all the concerned parties are coordinated and responsive during the emergency.
The narration is the processes through ideologies are spread; when one chooses to listen to them, he/she welcomes the values that are contained in the narrative.
