The Human Family Tree
* The origin of the human race is one of the most important topics discussed in the film. The human family tree is a film by National geographic that focuses on the origin of the human race. The film illustrates that despite the spread of people around the world and in different cultures, all humans originated from Africa which is also mentioned as the birthplace of humanity (Spence 2009). The narrator explains that Africa is of innumerable importance when it comes to investigating the evolution of the human race. According to the film, the first people to emerge and settle in Africa were bushmen known as the San tribe. It also explains that all races and all humans originated from the San tribe since they are the basis of the human family tree.
* The other fascinating topic from the film is the year or the era when the San tribe split for the first time into two tribes, 150,000 years ago. It was the first time the first tribe on earth split into two sections, the second tribe was known as the Hadzabe bushmen (Spence 2009).
* The other important lesson from the fil is the reason behind the split of the tribe into two factions. According to the film, the ice age caused major climatic changes which in turn made the tribes to split into two groups in search of habitable land since Africa had become so dry that there was not enough food for the entire tribe which consisted of around two thousand people.
