The PG&E Vision Statement
A vision statement summarizes an organization's future, goals, and purpose in the long run. It explains what the organization will be like and places a defined direction for the execution of the grand plan (Kirkpatrick, 2017). The vision statement displays the organization's aspirations and motivates the staff members. A good vision statement must reflect the organization’s values and culture. It should also stir a sense of motivation and inspiration. Additionally, it should be forward-looking while aiming to bring future improvements and growth to the organization (Laser, 2021). Having understood the essentials of a vision statement, I will develop one for Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).
