The types of events and common stressors that qualified as stressors in my life included changes in finances and job loss. Other stressors were changes in family size, marital status, death of a family member or close friend, health problems, and concerns about children or other family members. The types of events and common stressors that qualified as stressors in the workplace included changes in work responsibilities, changes to work schedule, changes in job security, changes to the work environment, changes in team dynamics, and changes to job expectations.
To help reduce my stress level, I can apply stress-reducing techniques in the workplace and my personal life. Stress ought to be managed systematically. Stress management is identifying, understanding, and managing the stress that comes with life (Lopez-Gonzalez & Rocha, 2020). In the workplace, this includes taking regular breaks, setting realistic goals, finding ways to be organized and efficient, practicing relaxation techniques, and asking for help from coworkers. In my personal life, this includes engaging in physical activity, getting adequate rest, eating a nutritious diet, engaging in leisure activities, and building a support network.
