Prejudice and discrimination are some of the major concerns in society. They involve treating people unfairly on the basis of their affiliation to specific social groups or class category. Prejudice and discrimination have close correlation and involve unjustified negative attitudes that people have against each other (Whitley & Kite, 2016). The discrimination of African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement is one of the appropriate examples of discrimination. One of the current examples of discrimination is women receiving less remuneration to equal work done at the workplace. In most cases, people live in a society that is filled with hatred and feelings of cruelty towards specific racial groups. Although prejudice and discrimination are the major causes of inequalities in society, scientific researchers have conducted relevant studies with a core objective of addressing the root causes of the problem.
