In a counseling setting, communication with colleagues should ensure confidentiality and protect the patient's clinical information. First, information should be shared using secure file-sharing and messaging platforms. Healthcare professionals should exchange information through encrypted emails and secured message platforms. All the professionals participating in the communication should comply with the standards (Farnan et al., 2017). Further, to reinforce confidentiality, passwords should be unique and updated frequently, information should avoid the use of identifiers such as full names and access should be limited to a few authorized personnel. Health professionals should refrain from pitfalls such as forgetting the encryptions and ensure to double-check information before sharing, besides, only
