Personality Profile: Traits And Characteristics

Homework # 2: Personality Profile Having to observe myself is a very difficult task. Thinking about my personality, I have discovered things about myself that I am not aware of. When at home, I am very close with my parents, but I, as I think of it, am closer with my mother. Yes, it is true that my family and I usually bond with each other, but when I have problems I always go to my mom for help. When I have trouble with my friends, she always gives me advices like when I had a fight with a friend because of a minor disagreement. Furthermore, I am also close with my relatives. When we have family gatherings, I always interact with my cousins, aunts, and uncles. Specifically, I am close with my cousins and become talkative and jolly when with them. Moreover, when I am with my friends, I also become outgoing. I always enjoy their company and would always do fun stuffs with them. Example, when I am with my friends, I usually joke around and do things that I would never think of doing alone. On the other hand, despite being close with them, there are times that we had some fights with each other. Because of my tendency to become irritable, I tend to release my anger and frustration towards them. Thankfully, my friends are very understanding of my attitude. Nevertheless, despite my outgoing personality, I become shy when meeting and interacting with strangers. I am not comfortable being me when alone with new people for the first time. I become nervous of what to say or do when with new people. But, somehow, when my friends are with me, I suddenly become sociable and can easily converse with strangers. With my outgoing personality, I am able to form close relationships with my family and friends. Thinking about it, being shy and getting nervous when with new strangers hinders me to get to know more people and widen my social circle. I realized that whenever I meet new people, it is always them that need to initiate the first act. I was never at ease in being the one to initiate the conversation.
