Parenting Styles Your Name Subject and Section Professor’s Name November 17, 2024 Authoritative, authoritarian, permissive, and uninvolved parenting styles and their effects on children's social, cognitive, and emotional development were explained. These styles determine how parents behave in the face of challenges and/or when parenting their children, as well as the short-term and long-term impacts. First, authoritative parenting, warmth, structure, and research show the positive effects of authoritative parenting on development. For example, Kong and Yasmin (2022) show that parents' higher parental self-efficacy (PSE) improves learning through authoritative parenting and suggests student improvement.
