Literature Review: Cyberbullying

Hello, I have attached the instructions as well as your previous work. These assignments build upon each other, so they should carry over. I have also attached the template for the assignment and five research articles.   If you can get this back to me by 5PM EST on 26 FEB 2024, it would be great. Why a literature review? Recall that the introduction of a research article tells the reader what is the most important past research that lays the groundwork to our own tests. Part of the introduction should include a literature review. That is, writing your introduction involves using APA style to synthesize (combining information) prior research. The synthesis should integrate the ideas in each research article and tell a story about the overall topic and associated sub-topics. It should NOT be a simple list or summary of what each article found (i.e., organize by ideas, NOT by articles). This is an integration paper, not a book report of the articles. To be successful on this project, you need to integrate, interweave, and mix in information from different research articles. What should I use to help me organize and develop the literature review? Before you can start to write the body of the Introduction, you need to spend some time organizing it. This is where the Synthesis Matrix will come in handy. You already started this process with the previous Lab Activities. Organize your information as follows – remember – you will need to translate this to paragraph form! 1. Start with an introductory paragraph that provides an overview of cyberbullying. Use the articles that you read to provide background information about cyberbullying. The introduction should provide your reader with general information about the topic, the previous research, why it is important to investigate, and what still needs to be investigated. 2. Next, you want to present results/findings from your articles to explain and support each theme/topic. Provide a brief overview of the research findings and sources for each theme (be sure to include citations). You need a minimum of 2 articles to support each theme. Below is how you can start to structure your paragraphs. Theme 1: _______________________________________________________ Theme 2: _______________________________________________________ Add more themes as appropriate 3. Conclusions and Rationale - In the conclusion section, you will provide a summary of the literature review. Discuss the general findings, conclusions, and implications. In other words, discuss why the findings are important. Why should your readers care? Note any limitations of the review, along with future directions. The limitations of the previous research should lead into a few sentences about the direction of future research. This will be your problem statement (what needs to be investigated next), which in turns guides your readers toward your research question. All of this information helps to rationalize why it is important to follow-up with your proposed study. 4. Now that you have organized your information, findings, and sources, it is time to write the Introduction/Literature Review section of your proposal. Put the previous outlined information into cohesive paragraphs with transitions leading from one paragraph to the next. REMEMBER: You are using the findings and results from previous scientific research studies to guide your readers toward your research question.
