Communicating About Services
Behavior analysts bear a moral imperative to employ perspicuous and readily understandable discourse when engaging with a spectrum of stakeholders and they are duty-bound to expound upon the full extent of their services, encompassing the delineation of service termination criteria, in a manner marked by unambiguous transparency (Behavior Analyst Certification Board, 2020, p.11).
An example of this is when a behavior analyst is engaged with a student diagnosed with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), their parents, and school educators. Employing articulate and accessible language, the analyst conveyed a tailored behavior intervention plan to address the student's ADHD-related challenges in the academic setting, fostering understanding and collaboration among stakeholders for the student's academic success.
