Operational Definition Physical aggression is when a client engages in intentional and/or forceful physical contact with another individual that leads to discomfort or even injury of the victim. Some examples of physical aggression include throwing objects toward other people, kicking, punching, or hitting others to harm (Coffey, 2020). Each incident should be counted as a separate occurrence. For a better understanding, non-examples of physical aggression can include accidental physical contact, non-harmful social interaction, or physical contact to engage in a play.
