Ideally, organizing, reasoning, and arithmetic are examples of cognitive processes that humans employ to solve issues or take advantage of opportunities. When a manager is faced with a choice, he or she has three primary cognitive techniques to choose from. Engaging in analytic thinking, depending on intuition, or devoting time to reframing are examples of these. Selecting, rehearsing, elaboration, and organizing methods are the most common cognitive techniques. Numerous intervention techniques are aimed at these thought processes that are actively executed to control thinking processes in order to attain objectives or address issues. Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies, and acceptance and commitment therapy are just a few examples (ACT).
Cognitive Strategies to Improve Thinking
The brain, the most complex organ in the body, is responsible for regulating multiple body functions, interpreting incoming sensory information, and processing our emotions. The brain also harbours memory, intelligence, and creativity. Certain exercises stimulate the brain in novel ways, possibly improving cognitive function, memory, and creativity. The following are some examples of brain workouts that might help improve one's thinking abilities:
Meditation
Meditation is a method in which a person develops attention and focus to attain a cognitively clear, emotionally peaceful, and calm state of mind by utilizing a strategy like mindfulness or concentrating the mind on a specific idea, object, or activity. The emotional benefits of meditation are, reducing negative emotions, allowing an individual to focus on the present, increasing self-awareness, fostering patience and tolerance, and developing new perspectives on serious situations. Focused attention, a calm environment, steady breathing, a cosy posture, and an open mindset are all important elements of meditation.
Visualizing. 
Visualizing is any technique used for creating images, diagrams, or animations in one's mind. It also entails mentally rehearsing a planned movement to attain new skills and perspectives to enhance performance. The purposeful formation of mental visual representations of a scene or historical experience by a client may be hindered or the cause of anxiety in psychotherapy. The goal is to integrate the pictured scenario into the current therapy context and focus on minimizing its negative consequences.
Learning new languages. 
Multilingualism is the ability to speak multiple languages. Multilingualism increases and strengthens the connectivity between different brain areas, which plays a major role in delaying the onset of Alzheimer's diseases and other forms of dementia.
