Paying attention can be very hard in cases where the environment is very complicated with different elements. Something surprising when I did the exercise is that it was impossible to determine the changes when I saw the images at first. However, once I got the hint about what I needed to look out for in an image, it was much easier for me to determine what had changed. For instance, it was impossible for me to know that I needed to focus on the trousers or car window until the video made it clear that I needed to pay attention to those two elements. It is interesting to note that we can easily miss something even if it is right in front of us. The complex environment with different characters means I focus on all the details rather than specific detail.
Change blindness can impact how we perceive the world since major changes to the visual world can occur without detection. Unless we focus on specific changes around us, it is impossible to detect any major changes (Chambers, 2016). Instead, as the world evolves, we might still accept the change as having existed before...
