Your goal is to change how your reader-an intelligent non-expert (e.g., a non-econ undergraduate student)-thinks about economic development. To do so,you are to write a brief Op-Ed with a title of the form:

What                       can teach us about economic development

For example, you might fill the gap with a phrase like "tech companies", "Sino-U.S. relations","Indigenous people", "African politics" ,"Pipeline protests ",or "duty-free taxes".You are completely free to fill the gap however you choose the more creative the better. Favour specific over general,e.g.,"tech companies" rather than "corporations","Sino-U.S. relations" rather than "geopolitics","vaccines" rather than "covid","African politics" rather than "Africa" or "Poor Countries",and "duty-free taxes" rather than "taxation".

In your brief Op-Ed you are to illustrate two ideas (insights/arguments/themes) that you have learned from the course by drawing upon material from recent news articles. See here, and here for a guide on writing an Op-Ed. More Op_ Ed resources are included below.

Important Details

More so, this has long-lasting effects that assist in preserving natural resources and mitigating the potentially adverse effects of climate change, ultimately ensuring a more robust and resilient economic future.
