According to the census results and projections provided by official government documents, the population under the age of 5 years and that above the age of 65 years is going to increase tremendously into the unforeseeable future. The population of individuals aged 65 and above is going to increase more than that of those under the age of five years. This group of adults is estimated to have 47, 695 people in 2015 and 55.963 in 2020 while that of children under the age of 5 years is going to be 21,051 in 2015 and 2108 in 2020.
The increases in the population of individuals within these two separate age groups implies that there shall be an increased demand for the services and commodities that are mostly associated with such age groups.
