Toyota motor is an international company which deals in the production and sale of automobile across the world. It was established in 1933 in Nagoya, Japan by Toyoda Sakichi. Since then it has spread across continents and has now more than 600 branches worldwide. It has survived because of its transport strategies and metrics that are the best.
Transportation is vital for any company that is in the industry of any business or market, without this department then it becomes quite challenging in meeting the overall objectives. According to Li & Liu (2017), there are several strategies that can be implemented to ensure possible success in the transport sector of Toyota. However, the chosen strategies should be effective and efficient to enable the company achieve its overall objectives.
Customer requirements-The transport strategy should meet the customers’ needs. This is to ensure customer satisfaction based on time delivery and location. Therefore, the company needs to ensure that this requirement is met to maintain customers and attract potential ones.
Flexibility- The organization need to be flexible in various aspects because of the changing environment in which it operates. Various changes that may occur include regulation policies and technology, which must be observed by the company by the company to ensure effective and efficient delivery system. If the changes are not adopted swiftly then it may lead to loss of customers which will in turn affect the organization’s profit margins.
Order accuracy-In any business that deals with logistics orders are the basis o the routine work. The goods are transported in line with the order that has been placed.
