The biggest source of potential procrastination is when my drive is irrationally stronger than my drive to act. My drive and self-control are affected by things like fatigue. How hard a person can push himself to act immediately is determined by their need to act. It is primarily based on people's motivation and self-control, which several factors impact. For example, a person's inspiration at any given moment may depend on their degree of exhaustion, and self-control is determined by the length of time an individual must wait before receiving an incentive (Breig & Gibson, 2020). As a result, issues like exhaustion and anxieties about possible repercussions can interfere with self-control and motivation, making people less motivated to act. Numerous other issues, such as depression and low self-esteem, might have a comparable impact.
As I am starting graduate school, I will properly manage my time to reduce procrastination. Effective time management can lessen procrastination by addressing the time management problems that contribute to procrastination, such as failing to prioritize tasks and other problems that contribute to procrastination, such as failing to control emotions.
