In the present world, people are highly criticized and maligned, which is the reason why most leaders perform poorly in their roles. I am not saying that I am perfect, but from the way I affirm my team members demonstrate that I am not badly off. As a leader, I always strive to encourage my followers to give their best. I do this by noticing them whenever they are doing something either for the organization or for their interests. Secondly, I strive to listen to their views to give them a sense of belonging, this encourages them to give their best. Thirdly, I applaud their contributions and showing an interest in their lives beyond that of work. Lastly, I include them in various events such as decision-making process (DelHousaye, & Brewer, 2004). I believe that doing this encourages them to offer their best.
In a number of occasions, my co-workers have talked about me specifically during meetings and end year celebrations. However, in most instances they talk about me with members from other departments or groups. What they mostly insist on is that I am a loving and ...
