In the present world, people are highly criticized and maligned, which is the reason why most leaders perform poorly in their roles. I am not saying that I am perfect, but from the way I affirm my team members demonstrate that I am not badly off. As a leader, I always strive to encourage my followers to give their best. I do this by noticing them whenever they are doing something either for the organization or for their interests. Secondly, I strive to listen to their views to give them a sense of belonging, this encourages them to give their best. Thirdly, I applaud their contributions and showing an interest in their lives beyond that of work. Lastly, I include them in various events such as decision-making process (DelHousaye, & Brewer, 2004). I believe that doing this encourages them to offer their best.
