Making Profit is the main objective for any company, and the companies require several strategies to be put in place to ensure they avoid loses totally. Therefore, companies develop several departments in the division of the labor process to ensure that they get quality output from the effective monitoring process. After the product development marketing process is put in place which requires sales managers, these papers focus on the sales manager role in developing an effective working training process on sales.
Developing a sales training process
As a sales manager, I chose wisely on what to train on sales for our software company to increase its sales on the market. Several important tips need to be specifically addressed to give guidance on sales personnel because they are the ones that will be interacting directly with the customers in the market places. Therefore, as the newly recruited team settles in, I will direct them on the market objective and the sales process for them to realize the sale process in the market.
Training steps
The training process for sales will focus on the six important stages. The stages of the training process are:
i. Sales training needs
ii. Sales training objectives
iii. Evaluate training alternatives
iv. Designing of the sales training program
v. Performing the actual sales training
vi. Conducting a following and evaluation of the process
Once all the stages listed have been done, it will be an easy task for the sales personnel is to go to the market and perform. The training process in six stages ensures a thorough input of training and testing done to evaluate the whole process. Thus, as the manager, the steps need to be carried out in the following ways to ensure effective training is delivered.
Sale training needs
As a manager, I will take a keen interest in preparing training material before the kick off of the training process. The training materials are important because they address the logistic problems that need to be met during the training period. The training needs should be placed in good condition that will aid the trainees to acquire and keep the knowledge given to them. I am focusing on the available materials that can be used to ensure proper training. The materials should aim at minimizing the cost of preparing for the training. Also, the analysis should aim at taking new material that needs to be bought to facilitate the training.
Depending on the duration of the training process and the number of trainees I will focus on the best materials that will be used to enable quick delivery of the knowledge to the sales personnel(Honeycutt,2017). Our company deals with software development; hence the main material needed are mobile phones or tablets, visual projector, external hard disks, flash disks, laptops.
