Imagine that you are the mayor of a large U.S. city. Craft a short paper persuading the CEO of a Fortune 500 business to relocate to your city. Support your claims with scholarly evidence and appropriately formatted citations.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
Value Proposition: Begin your paper by explaining why you are advocating for the Fortune 500 business to relocate to your city.
To what extent do you believe it is part of your responsibility as the city mayor to attract business to your city?
What do you believe the business will bring to your community?
Incentives: Articulate the specific incentives you are offering to the business.
What are the benefits that you would provide to the business? Be specific about the tax breaks, subsidies, regulatory approaches, or other incentives that you are proposing.
Ensure your offerings are reasonable, feasible, and balanced against any associated costs to other stakeholders in your community.
Mechanisms: Explain who, specifically, would provide these incentives and how they would provide them.
Which levels or agencies of government would provide these benefits to the business?
Explain why and how the associated level or agency would administer the benefit for each incentive.
