Overview In this short paper, you will evaluate a public program within a specific community or organization of your choice. You will focus your critique on the program’s actual outcomes compared to its stated intent. The goal is to determine the effectiveness of the program and the implications of these results for future policymaking at the local level. Your selected program should be relevant to a specific community or organizational context that you have access to or can research. Ensure that the policy has been implemented for a sufficient period to assess its outcomes. Directions Before writing your short paper, research your selected program, including its theoretical framework and practical applications. Gather quantitative and qualitative evidence regarding the program’s intended outcomes and its actual results. This can include statistical data, interviews, survey results, or observational studies. Based on your research, craft a short paper evaluating the intended versus actual outcomes of your selected program. Support your analysis, evaluation, and recommendations with properly cited evidence. Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria: Analysis: Describe the public program and the community or organizational context in which it operates. Consider the following questions in your response: What are the basic components of the public program?
