In servant leadership, listening and empathy are the main principles. Listening is not only the main principle in servant leadership but leadership in general. Good leaders are expected to listen more and pay attention to what their colleagues and employees tell them or suggest for them to weigh on the most suitable approach of doing things. When this is done, quality is guaranteed thus motivating the people around the place of work to perform in an improved way. Another key principle to servant leadership is empathy (Gandolfi & Stone, 2018). Servant leaders should strive as much as possible to understand and empathize with people around them. When there is empathy within a work setup or around the workplace, there is sure motivation among the employees and thus drive them to perform better on their tasks. When a servant leader applies these qualities of leadership, his team will always look up to him in a more approachable and positive manner thus directly influencing performance results positively.

Leaders are expected to have unique ways of leadership styles among them is being ambitious. When a leader is ambitious, he will be in a position of transforming this leadership style to the entire organization in his professional life.
