Developing a Professional Presence
One important point I can use to improve my professional brand and presence is preparing and practice. In any professional career, preparing whether in academics or for an interview is essential. It is also important to practice how to behave and act in a professional manner (Comeau, 2014). The second point is having a conversational style during an interview. I feel that conversational style is important because the other professionals want to see how I interact with others. A conversational style allows one to come out clearly and confidently to the other professionals (Comeau, 2014). I definitely need to work on being confident and conversational to ensure I make the right connections. The third point is to never talk negatively. I feel that talking negatively about a previous employer or colleague shows an individual who does not know how to work in a team. In an interview, I would focus on the positives I have a...
