In your post, you raised the critical concept of communication well in cross-cultural negotiations. In my opinion and experience, I believe communication is the single-most-important factor in cross-cultural negotiations. How information is packaged and shared is key because I recently learned that language shapes how we understand things and how we react to them. Differences in global cultures mean that what can be said freely in one culture may be shunned by a different culture (Cardenas, 2021). Understanding this factor, in my opinion, is key to dealing with conflict in the workplace. But I also think it requires one to do their homework before entering a negotiation with others. Such homework includes understanding the points of view of other parties and what shapes their points of view. Your post plays a significant role in this understanding by dissecting through real-life scenarios.
