From my perspective, people are moving more quickly through the career stages outlined in the lecture and textbook. The current workforce is largely comprised of millennials and Gen Z employees who want to explore more career opportunities quickly in search of work-life balance. Unlike previous generations, members of millennial and Gen Z are more independent and prefer to quickly go through the exploration and establishment stages of career development. For instance, millennial and Gen Z workers are more willing to try diverse jobs during the exploration phase.
