Application for Earned Value Management
Integrating cost and schedule control plays an integral role in improving overall project performance. The performance of a given project is improved because an individual is able to keep track of the duration a given activity is supposed to take and the cost that should be incurred. As a result, the project manager can tell when something goes wrong in a project easily and determine the cause of the problem. Through this, the project manager can make better and more informed decisions about that particular project and other projects in the future (Soltan, 2022). Secondly, project performance improves because, with integrated cost and schedule control, the project is completed on time and financially responsible (Miguel et al., 2019). Consequently, since the discussion in Module One is still the same, my opinion is that the performance of a project is greatly improved through effective cost and schedule control.
