Abstract, Discussion, Reflection Assignment Draft only

This is a draft so it doesn't need to be perfect at this time. I have also uploaded a vast chunk of my journal entries so you can see what I have done through my internship. Journal entries 1, 2 and 7 are on my other computer. Please let me know if you need those and I will upload them for you. This assignment consists of three interlinked written projects: A 50 word quick summary of the internship experience, as you would describe it in a initial interview conversation A 250 word, more detailed description of your internship, as you would talk about it in a longer conversation A 150 word reflection on what you are including in each (and why), how you tailor the content and style to a specific audience, and what the writing and editing process of both has been like for you. The summary should clearly mention the following: the placement (business, organization) where you completed the internship, length of internship, purpose of internship, main projects/tasks, learning outcomes for you. (Can you do that in 50 words?) The description should clearly explain your contributions to specific projects/tasks, give a quick overview of a typical day, outline your responsibilities (and limits of participation), connect your internship to specific courses and career interests, and explain what this internship did for your career ambitions. The reflection should discuss how you chose the content for each, what you decided to leave out and why, what was most challenging about writing both, and what you have learned about your internship and its importance to you as you wrote these pieces. All three assignments should be included in the same file and uploaded together. Include the word count for each. Expect these to go into multiple revisions as you perfect the set. Carefully spellcheck (and grammar check) Focus on clarity and content Be specific and concise. Phases like “I learned to much” mean nothing; you need to list specific skills: “I learned how to organize a budget spreadsheet for a baseball travel team to track expenses related to food and lodging” is way more interesting.
