It is essential to ensure that there is no disruption to the system as this may result in the failure of the whole system. There is a challenge as the success of the system depends on all the parts of the system working seamlessly unlike a decentralized system where areas with problems can be isolated. This is further complicated as there are more workload requirements in a centralized system, and disruption in one area of the system affects other areas. Managing disruptions requires facilitating flexibility and controlling various components and entities of the system (Boccella et al., 2020). Decentralized systems tend to spread the workload across multiple computer systems.
