Thich Nhat Hahn
Thich Nhat Hanh, in his online teaching on the Body and Mind are One illustrates how the presence changes relationships since both mind and mentality work in unison (Hanh, 2016). The learning on the Buddhist approach to joyful living indicates that appearance is the best gift you can ever give to anyone regardless of societal setting. Also, Hanh addresses the importance of time. In his view, time is a priceless gift that you can give to family and friends. In this case, it would not be worth it to be at home while your mind is somewhere else. Regardless of all the material things one can give to their beloved, being mentally present is essential. In case you love someone, you should ever be there for them (Hanh, 2016). Thus, time qualifies as a priceless gift we can give to our relatives and friends.
When the body and mind are working in unison, you are naturally available at the moment (Hanh, 2016). The art of mindfulness practice allows all of us to be in contact with the miraculous events in life at the moment. In modern society, the majority of us juggle between different tasks. The constant movement and a lot of work eventually consume people and result in the creation of suffering for those depending on us. Thich Nhat Hanh, in his teachings, illustrates how we can break the cycle and mentally come to our bodies (Hanh, 2016). Thus, we can enjoy the right moments at present. Hanh teaches that breathing is the key to cease personal conflict, letting go of anxiety, and becoming aware o the actions that affect members in our communities.
