Tom Brady’s Short-lived Retirement
Barely two months after announcing his decision to retire, Tom Brady has decided he would make a comeback at the National Football League (NFL). Brady’s decision to retire came after his team, the Buccaneers, lost to the Rams during the National Football Championships (NFC). According to Albert (2022), Brady announced his comeback through a Twitter post on 13th March 2022. The tweet reflected on his two months during retirement and realizing that his place is at the field and not the stands. Brady ended by saying he loved his team and returned to Tampa (Albert, 2022). The announcement is a surprise to many because at his age, 44, they expect him to be retiring.
Tom Brady is NFL’s most successful player after winning seven super Bowls. He has been named super Most Valued Player(MVP) five times. In addition, Brady has been chosen to play in the Pro Bowl 15 times in his entire career (Albert, 2022). Brady furthermore holds the career records for most touchdown passes and yards.
