What has contributed to the decrease in the unemployment rate in the United States of America (USA)? Although joblessness in the USA is a significant problem, the majority of people are employed, which is not the case with other countries. Despite the slow world economic growth, the rate of unemployment in September 2019 hit a 50-year low in the USA. Between August and September this year, the jobless rate decreased by 0.2%, reaching 3.5% (Cox, 2019). The USA last experienced such a low percentage in December 1969.
I think the rate of unemployment in the USA continues to plummet due to technological advancement. In particular, many people are now gaining relevant knowledge from the Internet. If it comes to students, they now have appropriate resources that enable them to learn from anywhere. For this reason, the country is producing highly skilled and competitive individuals who are innovative and creative. On that note, well-educated people can secure jobs or start their own businesses. Besides, the healthcare sector is among the industries that have created many jobs for Americans.
