Academic Essay OPEN topic

Length: no less than 700 words, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12-pt. font size, one-inch margins

This essay is to consist of your own thoughts, words, and ideas. No secondary sources are to be used in this essay.

Case Assignment

For this assignment, you will write an organized and well supported Academic Essay using three or more points of analysis. Select a topic that will allow you to demonstrate your interest and knowledge of a specific area. A topic that is meaningful to you will encourage the development of ideas.

A well-organized essay has a beginning, middle, and an end. The beginning, or introduction, should include an opening sentence to grab your reader’s attention. Follow the opening sentence with a brief background on the topic or situation. The last sentence of the introduction is the thesis statement, or the main point of the essay.

A well-supported essay includes supporting points, details, and examples. For this essay, you must decide the best way to organize the body of the paper. Each body paragraph must support (explain) your thesis using specific details and examples. Each body paragraph must begin with a topic sentence that states the main point of the paragraph.

The conclusion typically summarizes the main points of the essay and/or closes with a lasting impression that connects the reader to their world.

Be sure to proofread your essay and edit for proper grammar, punctuation, diction (word choice), and spelling, as errors in sentence skills will lower a final grade.

Papers must be double-spaced in Times or Times New Roman font (12 cpi) with standard one-inch margins. A grade will be determined based on the Module 1 Case expectations and the Trident University General Education rubric for English found on the Case 1 Dropbox page.

The first person "I" is not used in a formal essay.

No secondary sources are to be used in the process of writing this first paper; it is to be entirely written based on one's point of view and supported with body points and details.

As humans, we are prone to harmful stresses that drain our energy, impeding us from becoming the best version of ourselves. This is because most are focused on “grinding” until one achieves the “dream.” However, no matter how good our intentions are for grinding too much, our bodies can only handle so much. This is why people look forward to one of the best times of the year to relax—summer. Many people can only take a vacation during this time of the year. Since the main goal is to relax, it is essential to consider many things before going to the dream destination to prevent incurring unnecessary stresses, including time, location, culture and religion, expenses, and the people who will be with or surround you. All of these are ideal for a planned vacation.
Different people have their unique interpretations of the concept. Some treat it as adventurous outdoor experiences, carefully planned out-of-town or out-of-the-country agenda, or simply carefree days at home. Each type of vacation needs careful consideration of what one will gain or lose during such time to help oneself evolve in a relatively short period. Thus, it is nice to consider the aspects mentioned before.
The first factor in ensuring an enjoyable vacation is time. One must ask several questions before leaving to escape the busy world. First, ask oneself how much time is necessary to relieve the stresses without being overdue on other responsibilities. This is important because people often plan a vacation without taking into consideration its possible impacts. Of course, a vacation has positive outcomes such as reduced stress, gaining a different outlook, and relaxing one’s mind, body, and soul. However, when one comes back with many unfinished businesses, the positive effects will be canceled out or overcome by its negative impact. When this happens, the purpose of the vacation will be invalidated. Second, ask oneself how much time should one allocate for the activities during the vacation. This does not have to be very specific because it will cause undue stress. It is just rightful to consider if one will spend most of the day sleeping, walking outdoors, doing unusual activities, or the like. The critical point in taking pleasure in a vacation is knowing what one wants. Again, the wants do not need to be specific. For instance, it is enough to know that one wants to have a classic or novel experience. In this way, one can choose the activities that the vacation spot offers.
