The reading that most resonated with me is “The Harm When Schools Play Down Grammar” by Lynne Truss. In this piece, the author argues that downplaying the essence of grammar will lead to problems in the future. However, the author is even more concerned about how schools are becoming lax in teaching grammar. We live in a time when students are being encouraged to express themselves without being taught to express themselves. Too much freedom is being granted to young people today, making them oblivious to customs.
