Traditional warfare occasions state-to-state combat involving heavily trained soldiers. However, drones are the new servicemen, as they have been introduced to protect and lessen unintended casualties during a war. The use of drones is ethical as it intends to reduce potential fatalities. However, since the Obama administration started to use drones in the war on terrorism, there have been issues of contention over ethics and moral validity. These concerns are due to alleged random killings of non-targets and other collateral losses.
The drone record presented by Avery Plaw, a political scientist on the CIA, was a high-end count of 20 percent. Other studies show major collateral killings caused by targeted weapons (Shane, 2012).
