Synthesis is the act of creating something new from multiple existing entities. Synthesis of research is creating a new idea from existing ideas. It is a process developed through time and practice. In this assignment, you will apply the synthesis process to the course journal readings and your selected readings. As you synthesize, consider how leadership behavior influences leadership results. For example, leadership behaviors such as speech and mannerisms as well as what is not said or done effect followers profoundly in both their sense of value and their motivation.

Refer to the annotated bibliography and outline you created in the Module 5 assignment along with the assignment feedback from your instructor.

Locate at least two additional, topically-related, empirical articles. Use "Empirical Research Checklist" to guide your selection.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Locate the annotated bibliography and outline you created in the Module 5 assignment. Using the outline you developed, the information from the annotated bibliography, and the feedback provided by your instructor, write a paper (2,000-2,250 words) that synthesizes all three articles from the Module 5 annotated bibliography with the two (or more) topically-related, empirical articles you selected. Do that by including the following:

A statement of at least three common themes addressed in all of the articles.

A statement of the conclusions that can be drawn when the articles are taken together as a single entity. What is the overall message of the group of articles? Focus specifically on how leadership behavior influences leadership results. How might identity, worldview, and socio-cultural group membership influence the behaviors that effective leaders exhibit?

The success of an organization highly depends on the kind of leadership behavior that is employed by the leaders. Employees require motivation and a conducive work environment for them to be able to achieve organizational goals (Behrendt, Matz & Göritz, 2017). Therefore, leaders have resolved to employ leadership behavior that best suits the organizations to ensure that their followers are comfortable enough to meet the set targets (Niu, Wang & Hanyu, 2018). The use of the big five-factor model of personality has proved to distinguish competent leaders from the ones that are not competent. Creativity and innovation are the backbone of transformative leadership in organizations, both in private and public systems (Saxena, 2014). Such creativity is a key tool in the formulation and achievement of objectives that result in the success of an organization. The use of the path-goal theory suggests that the behavior of a leader has a direct effect on staff with a high need for achievement (Hayyat Malik, 2012). Some leaders exhibit behavior that results in resistance in the workplace while others behave in a manner which keeps the employees motivated to work for the organization. The paper will analyze some of the leadership behaviors such as being creative and innovative, ethical and responsible, and, resilient and optimistic that are supposed to be emulated by organizational management to achieve their vision and gain transformation in the future.
Creative and Innovative
The following section presents a discussion of the creative and innovative theme. A leader should be open to new experiences and conform to what is important to the company (Saxena, 2014). Given the changing dynamics in the world of business, then organizations should not remain static but rather conform to all the changes in order for them to remain relevant in the world of business. Therefore, this requires leaders to possess certain characteristics that in turn, enhance their level of creativity and innovation within the organization. For instance, leaders need to possess a conscientiousness character so that they can follow the rules, and bear responsibilities for the results of the company. This would make it for them to adapt to new changes that are directed towards the success of the company. As well, openness to experience is a good feature as it gives leaders' room for creativity, divergence in thinking, as well as creating room for imaginations. This is a feature that should be created to ensure that employees are given a chance to express themselves. Employees could also contribute new ideas which the leaders can incorporate in their creativity to come up with strategies that benefit the company. In addition, agreeableness is a part of the traits that motivate leaders to be creative and innovative. They should embrace this trait so that they are able to trust their employees and at the same time, show compliance with what is right for the organization's vision (Xu, Loi & Ngo, 2016). The decision-making process requires leaders to agree on common ideas in order to make decisions that result in an organization's growth. Without the ability to agree on ideas, then it could be difficult for the leaders to create and innovate new ideas. Listening to the views of employees helps workers to bring more ideas that a leader might not be having.
Having an open mind for new ideas is relevant to developing new policies (Niu, Wang & Hanyu, 2018). It is through such policies that the organization is able to grow. Given the high competition in the business world, organizations have to be creative enough for them to come up with new ideas that help in reducing the competition. Innovative and creative leaders can best achieve this. It is always relevant for organizational policies to provide relevant resources and create room for creativity if stakeholders want their customers to get better services and enjoy the organizational benefits through better leadership. Insufficient resources make it difficult for leaders to come up with new ideas.
Competitive leaders aim to reduce role ambiguity, stress, and clarifies better task structures in the firm (Hayyat Malik, 2012). This is made easy by their ability to be creative and innovative. Through creativity, a leader is able to reduce the ambiguity of roles while making sure that the ability of the employees to achieve the organizational goals is not altered. Different organizations have their cultures about certain roles and therefore, changing such culture could be a result of conflicts. Therefore, a leader should be creative enough to ensure that the changes do not change the norm of running activities in the organization. Creating a conducive work environment is a key aspect in reducing workplace stress, which reduces the effectiveness of employee performance. Most of the leadership styles require a leader to be innovative in order to keep up with the changing dynamics of the company.
Ethical and Responsible
The following section presents a discussion of the ethical and responsibility theme. The values of the organization and wellbeing of customers or the public should be within the decision-making matrix of a leader. Participative leadership skills are important as employees emulate what leaders offer them as well as set standards that are supposed to be achieved in the firm. Directive leaders, on the other hand, are important in influencing employees with high expectancy when clarification of the vision of the company is achieved (Hayyat Malik, 2012). Therefore, whether a leader chose to follow the participative of the directive form of leadership, it is important for them to act responsibly and ethically. Providing clarification of the company's objectives requires a leader to act ethically to ensure that all the set goals do not violate the rights of the employees. For instance, a shift in the working shifts should be made in a considerate manner that does not pressurize the employees. In most cases, working under pressure does not yield positive results but could rather result in a downfall of the company. Hence, leaders ought to be responsible enough to know what works best for their employees according to the company's policies.
Leaders should always act within the law and jurisdiction they are given. Sustainability should be an attribute when formulating policies (Niu, Wang & Hanyu, 2018). Every leader should act responsibly in protecting the interests of the company and that of the employees. Some organizations are faced with issues of poor management, which affect the employee's ability to work efficiently. Poor management is a key indicating factor that some or all of the leaders are not being responsible enough to oversee that each of the organization's policies are being followed. Leaders tend to forget their purpose of holding an office and turn into making personal gains.
