If it ain't broke, don't fix it! I do not dispute this statement. Our contemporary society has an insatiable appetite for change. We are never at peace with we are already having at our fingertips. Every day we are in a rush to fix resolve one issue after another one. The saying, ‘if it ain't broke, don't fix it’, warns us against wasting our time, resource, and energy in fixing issues, which do not need any intervention. In many instances, our genes and instincts seem wired to look for trouble. On many occasions, we might have things looking stable, but we tend to stir the waters.
Our desire to always bring change in society is poorly understood. Desirable leadership has always been linked to overarching traits of change or transformation. Leaders are always expected to cherish change; this may partly explain our behavioral patterns of having a nag of transforming anything, even when such an indication of change is lacking.
