Today’s podcast is an effective tool in disseminating information, ideas, and arguments, and that is what we see with This American Life. For the past couple weeks, you have thought critically—and rhetorically—about one podcast of your choice. We have applied the ideas of ethos, pathos, and logos to these texts (podcasts) to try to understand how the message is crafted.

For this assignment, you will build on ethos and pathos while connecting it to podcast of your choice, Lastly a rhetorical analysis of the This American Life podcast using the website mentioned above of your choice. You will write an analysis of writer, audience, purpose, and topic. Next, what is the context and culture in which this message—the podcast of your choice—is disseminated? Finally, you will want to briefly offer examples of how the text (podcast) creators use ethos, pathos, and logos to meet their purpose.
You will be graded according to the following benchmarks:
• Does the writer focus on how the podcast is created rather than simply what the podcast says? Does the writer discuss the creator, audience, purpose, topic, context, culture, ethos, pathos, and logos in relation to the podcast of their choice?

Women struggling to get pregnant arrive at the center and narrates their experiences with the procedures. The patient narrates a powerful story about women in a clinical setting and what happens when a most established facility is held accountable for failure to protect its patients.

She presents facts by talking to twelve women and the dangers and harm the procedure caused in their life. The podcast solely focuses on IVF and the harm it caused to women at Yale Fertility Clinic Center. Each episode presents a different topic such as marriage, childlessness, and life before and after the IVF procedure. The topic is well-researched and presents facts and figures to convince its audience.
