You can never really tell how a friendship will be simply by basing it on its current situation - it can be bad now but then there’s that chance that everything will turn out fine later; and there’s that point where you think everything is going perfectly well and then all of sudden the happy ending you had thought of before has now gone far from ever happening. Unfortunately for me, I just came across the latter.
She was a close friend of mine, Christina. Everyone else thought she was an oddball but they liked her nonetheless, especially because she’s a great cartoonist even at a young age. Then again, it’s curious how she would rather spend most of her time alone. Our meeting wasn’t at all planned; she just happened to be there and so was I. And “there” was actually at a long waiting line at some snack bar (I forgot the name – it’s been some time ago); she was standing in front of me. I’m not so sure of what happened next, just that we ...
