During my EE practice, I developed excellent communication skills. I can communicate clearly and efficiently using diverse techniques such as emails and social media. This experience helped me improve my writing and listening skills CITATION Yor21 \l 1033 (York Univesity, 2021). Learning outside the classroom has also bolstered my confidence to ask questions, draw insights into other people's perspectives. Furthermore, I can retrieve, collect, analyze ideas, and present them to appeal to the audience. In the future, I plan to intern in technology-integrated organizations that utilize innovative communication platforms such as Zoom.
Throughout the entire EE practice, I was an excellent team player. During my first group project, I interacted and shared ideas with my teammates to deliver quality work. I completed the tasks on time and attended all the sessions prepared. Towards the end of the EE practice, I was actively helping teammates experiencing difficulty completing their work. To become a better team player, I plan to be receptive to other people's ideas, encourage participation, and create good relationships to deliver quality work.
In the initial stages of my EE practice, I excelled in identifying emerging issues and solving them to the best of my capability. I was able to identify these problems earlier and gather as much necessary information as possible to address them CITATION Yor21 \l 1033 (York Univesity, 2021). Using the soft skills learned in class, I conveyed the most complicated problems to my superiors to make accurate and informed decisions. Also, I was able to handle unforeseen changes/problems with ease and professionalism. In my next EE practice, I aspire to work in a challenging environment to broaden my skills in problem-solving.
During my EE practice, I excelled in civic engagement. I was able to engage and relate well with people from all backgrounds. I was actively involved in community work and took the lead in numerous projects. During this experience, I was able to interact with people from diverse cultures and help them improve their social, economic welfare. This experience shaped my attitude and beliefs of people within a community and propelled me to connect my civic action with broader social issues.
