Numbers are crucial since they provide valid proof about the results or findings of the research, and they also act as a basis of scientific evidence in quantitative areas. However, numbers are not necessary since they can easily be regarded as incorrect, reductionist, and simplified, even if it is a single value (Greenhalgh & Taylor, 1997). Qualitative approaches are preferable since they interpret phenomena in a natural setting to make sense of phenomena in regards to the meanings individuals attach to them. I think qualitative approaches are more effective if they are valid while providing reliable results. This means that another researcher can replicate the outcome, and the information can be regarded as truthful.
