Instructions: Describe how you used problem-solving skills to resolve a problem you encountered during your volunteer experience.
Problem:
At the mental health facility, one of the biggest problems that I identified was that of poor interprofessional and intraprofessional communication. At the surface this manifested itself as passivity and apathy with regards to teamwork.
However, it emerged that the problem was deep-rooted and one that needed to be urgently addressed to prevent chronic dysfunction and inefficiency from seeping into the facility’s culture.
